Her passion for materials science and electronic components led her to continue her studies at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Sciences. There, she obtained a Master of Advanced Studies (DEA) in 2004, once again graduating with high distinction. Alice’s academic pursuits culminated in a Ph.D. in Physics from the Claude Bernard University of Lyon, Institute of Nuclear Physics, France, in 2009, where she achieved the highest honors.

Alice’s professional career is marked by her extensive contributions to the Lebanese Atomic Energy Commission-National Council for Scientific Research (LAEC-NCSR). She began her journey as a part-time research assistant at the Accelerator Laboratory of LAEC-NCSR in 2004-2005. Following her Ph.D., she returned to LAEC-NCSR as a part-time researcher, equivalent to a post-doctoral position, from 2010 to 2014. During this time, she played a pivotal role in establishing the first research laboratory in the MENA region for surface, chemical, and structural analysis of solid materials using the Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (TOF-SIMS) technique.

In 2014, Alice was appointed as a full-time researcher at LAEC-NCSR, a position she held until 2019. Her research interests include exploring novel applications, developing innovative protocols, and combining ion beam technology with optical spectroscopic and chromatography methods to examine materials pertinent to health, environmental studies, and forensic sciences. Since 2019, she has been serving as a senior researcher, furthering her contributions to the field.
