Shon Haluzani’s academic journey began with a focus on radiography and electronics, laying a strong foundation for his extensive career in medical imaging and education. He obtained his Diploma in Radiography: Diagnostic from Evelyn Hone College, Lusaka, Zambia, in December 1999, which equipped him with the fundamental skills in diagnostic imaging. This was followed by a Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from City & Guilds, London, UK, in December 2003, showcasing his versatility and technical acumen.

In January 2010, Haluzani achieved his Bachelor of Technology Degree in Radiography: Diagnostic from Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), Pretoria, South Africa. This academic milestone was pivotal, allowing him to delve deeper into the specialized field of radiography. He further pursued advanced studies with a Master of Science Degree in Radiography: Diagnostic from the National University of Science & Technology (NUST) in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, completed in December 2016. This postgraduate degree enhanced his expertise and understanding of diagnostic radiography, preparing him for leadership roles in his field.

Haluzani’s professional career has been marked by significant contributions to education, research, and clinical practice. Since December 2017, he has served as the Head of the Department of Medical Radiation Sciences at Lusaka Apex Medical University (LAMU), Zambia. His responsibilities include teaching core radiography modules, supervising student research projects, and ensuring high standards in the department’s operations.
