His undergraduate project titled “Influence of temperature and food availability on growth and reproductive development in juvenile convict cichlid (Amatitlania nigrofasciata)” highlighted his early interest in fish physiology and aquaculture. He continued his studies at Government Secondary School Okposi, where he completed his West African School Certificate (WASC) in 2002. Dr. Obasi pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at Anambra State University, graduating in 2009. His quest for knowledge propelled him further into academia, where he earned a Master of Science in Medical Biochemistry from Ebonyi State University in 2015. His dedication culminated in a Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 2020.
