ProfLeiRenXiamen UniversityChinaDrug Delivery SystemsDr. Lei REN is currently professor at College of Materials, Xiamen University. Dr. Ren graduated from Tianjin University with a bachelor's degree in Polymer Science and Technology (1990), and from Peking Union Medical College with a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering (1997), respectively. She received her Ph.D. Degree in 2001 from Okayama University. After graduation, she was awarded a Singapore-MIT alliance (SMA) post-doctoral associateship to perform research in Department of Materials at the National University of Singapore (NUS). In 2003, Dr. Ren joined Xiamen University, where her research interests include multifunctional nanomaterials for nanobiotechnology and nanomedicine, and nanotheranostics. Currently, her research activities focus on three major areas: 1) Fabrication of virus-based protein nanoparticles for cancer immunotherapy; 2) Development of nano-structured materials for anti-bacterial treatment; 3) Investigation of the cellular response to the novel combination materials; 4) Bionic design of the smart nano-device for biomedical applications. Dr. Ren has published over 160 research articles and obtained 20 patents in biomaterials areas.Best Researcher Awardtoppharmaceutical.org
