Dr. Jun Liu is a distinguished scholar specializing in Forest Products Chemical Processing Engineering, having earned his Ph.D. from Beijing Forestry University. Following his doctoral studies, he pursued advanced postdoctoral research in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics at the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Currently, he serves as the Deputy Director and Secretary of the Party Branch in the Department of Process Equipment and Control Engineering at the School of Resources and Environment, Nanchang University, where he has become an influential figure driving research and academic innovation.A prolific contributor to scientific literature, Dr. Liu has authored and co-authored several influential publications in high-impact journals. Some of his notable works include AHP-Optimized Processing Technology and Quality Evaluation System for Rehmanniae Radix published in LWT-Food Science and Technology, Analysis of the Microscopic Interactions Between Processed Polygonatum Cyrtonema Polysaccharides and Water featured in the Journal of Molecular Graphics and Modelling, and Development and Application of the New Integrated Equipment and Process of the Nine-Steam-Nine-Bask Method in the Processing of Polygonatum Cyrtonema published in Processes.Dr. Liu’s research spans a wide spectrum of topics, including the study of chemical components in traditional Chinese medicine, quality control and standardization, resource utilization, computer simulation, intelligent manufacturing, and related interdisciplinary areas. He has successfully led and contributed to numerous national and provincial research projects focusing on innovative processing technologies for medicinal plants, solar-assisted heat pump drying systems, and integrated cultivation and processing technologies for medicinal resources. His efforts have advanced both theoretical knowledge and practical applications in chemical processing engineering, particularly in the field of traditional Chinese medicine and sustainable resource utilization.
