This academic achievement was followed by a Ph.D. from the same institution in 2004, where he worked under the supervision of Prof. Faizan Ahmad, an INSA Senior Scientist. Dr. Poddar’s doctoral research focused on the “Effects of Size of Polyols on the Protein Folding/Unfolding Equilibrium under Physiological Conditions.” His research shed light on the role of osmolytes, particularly sugars, in stabilizing proteins, an essential aspect of protein chemistry. This early work laid the foundation for his future research in protein folding, stability, and aggregation.

His academic journey began at Umuka Community Primary School in Okposi, where he laid the foundation for his educational aspirations. He continued his studies at Government Secondary School Okposi, where he completed his West African School Certificate (WASC) in 2002. Dr. Obasi pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at Anambra State University, graduating in 2009. His quest for knowledge propelled him further into academia, where he earned a Master of Science in Medical Biochemistry from Ebonyi State University in 2015. His dedication culminated in a Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 2020. Throughout these formative years, Dr. Obasi developed a robust understanding of biochemistry, preparing him for his future endeavors in research and academia.
